ACRM NOW ACCEPTING BCBS HMO AND POS
ACRM Expands Network of Insurance Providers
Atlanta, GA, March
1, 2013 - Atlanta Center
for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM), a leading infertility center, today announced
its new contract with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS). The new contract between BCBSGA and ACRM adds
the BCBS HMO and POS plans to the already existing in-network BCBS PPO plan.
"We are pleased to have BCBS HMO and POS plans in network and look forward to taking care of these BCBS members," states Steve Gerson, CPA, CGMA, Chief Financial Officer for ACRM. "We find that more than ninety percent of our patients with insurance among the various plans with which we participate have coverage for some aspect of their testing or care. Interestingly, among those patients in an IVF treatment plan, we find that approximately 50% of them have insurance coverage for their IVF cycles."
"We are always looking for ways to provide greater access to fertility care, and the addition of BCBS HMO and POS takes us a long way in continuing to fulfill this endeavor," commented Gerson.
With the additions of the BCBS HMO and POS plans, ACRM is now in network with 40 different insurance plans, making infertility care available to more individuals and couples with dreams of having a baby.
